The Most Memorable Moments of the 2025 Tony Awards
This past weekend the 2025 Tony Awards were held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Fans of the theatre got to see special performances, live music, and recognize some amazing actors and actresses in the industry. Here are our highlights of the night:
Cynthia Erivo Hosting
Cynthia Erivo was the perfect choice to host this year’s awards! She showcased a variety of outfits, belted out some amazing songs, and added a layer of wit that kept us watching the whole night!
The Hamilton Reunion
We cannot believe Hamilton turns 10 this year! The celebration continued at the Tony’s when the original cast reunited to perform a medley created by mastermind Lin Manuel Miranda. The performance was such a special way to honor the iconic show!
“Tomorrow” In Memoriam
Every year at the Tony Awards, we honor the talented actors and actresses that we lost along the way. This year, Sara Bareilles and Cynthia Erivo performed “Tomorrow” and it made for quite an emotional tribute.
Maybe Happy Ending Dominates
The new musical starring Darren Chris also had its moment! Maybe Happy Ending ended up taking home a total of six awards this year!
Sunset Boulevard Performance
Nicole Scherzinger stars in Sunset Boulevard and stunned the audience by her performance gaining an over 5 minute ovation. You can sense the passion and fire in the way she belted those notes!
The Opening and Closing Numbers
Cynthia Erivo opened and closed the night with two incredible performances. She had the audience laughing, crying, and dancing all throughout the night!
