Reel Review: With Love, Meghan Is the Warm and Bright Nancy Meyers Vibe the World Desperately Needs

Meghan Markle’s new Netflix reality show is the perfect California getaway from everyday life. With Love, Meghan follows Markle as she hosts famous friends each episode and prepares beautiful dishes, crafts, flower arrangements, and so much more. The show takes place in her gorgeous Montecito home where she tends to her gorgeous garden, cooks in her beautiful kitchen, and pulls the curtain back on her life.

From the second the initial trailer was released for this series, I was telling all my friends this show would fill the Nancy Meyers void in my heart. You can only imagine the giggle I let out when Markle herself said she wanted a Nancy Meyers vibe on the show. Meghan, please invite me for season two. This series doesn’t add any unnecessary drama, or forced plot lines. It’s simply just Markle entertaining her friends, teaching us from fun hosting tricks, and feeling like you too are relaxing in the California sun.

Some Markle’s friends featured on the show include Mindy Kaling, Abigail Spencer, Roy Choi, and so many more. Contrary to previous Netflix shows featuring the Duchess, this show is just for Meghan while Prince Harry stays out of the spotlight. It’s fun to see Markle enjoy herself and tell audiences about the positive aspects of her life following the tumultous couple of years she, Prince Harry, and their children have had.

If you’re looking for a fun series to watch as you wind down, or feel like learning new tips and tricks in a fun setting, With Love, Meghan is the perfect binge watch as Spring approaches. I can’t wait for season two to hit Netflix, but for now, I’ll start practicing my candle making like the Duchess taught me.
